FAQ

Quick answers for buyers and hosts.

What fees does Soniv charge? +

Soniv uses simple tiered service fees paid by buyers ($2.99–$8.99 per ticket depending on price). Hosts keep the full ticket price. You’ll always see the total before you pay.

How do refunds work? +

Eligible orders can usually be refunded through Soniv’s self-service refund flow until about 24 hours before the event starts (unless a different cutoff is shown for your order). Refunds go back to your original payment method; banks often post credits within 24–48 hours. See our Terms of Service or contact support if an event is cancelled or you need help.

Do I need an account to buy tickets? +

For most events, yes — an account helps us protect tickets, send updates, and prevent fraud. It also makes it easy to access your tickets and receipts later.

Why do some events require ID verification? +

Age-restricted or high-trust events may require ID verification (18+ / 21+). Verification helps keep the community safe and reduces chargebacks and ticket fraud.

How do I become a host? +

Start with Become a Host. We may ask for identity verification (via Stripe Identity) before you can sell tickets or receive payouts. Everyday hosts agree to our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. A separate signed Host Agreement is only used for certain B2B arrangements when Soniv requires one.
